This is a track that I recorded with my friends Todd Martino and Mark Gardner at the Blue Door Studios of Noah Guttell. Todd is on organ and Mark, piano. We improvised this song during a session in a practice room in the Jazz Studies hallway at Arizona State University.

Todd, Mark and I met as undergraduates studying music, electrical engineering and biohazard informatics at Arizona State University. Inspired by the common musical reasoning that emerged nearly instantaneously upon beginning to play with one another, we collected hours of live improvisations over a period of three weeks and distilled them into our self-titled album “haploid 23”: www.cdbaby.com/cd/haploid23

During a break in the recording of the album we were working on, Todd and I recorded this in one brief inspired take with no prior arrangement or planning.

On my way to Sydney to begin graduate work at the University of New South Wales as a Fulbright Climate Change and Clean Energy Scholar, I stopped in Honolulu, Hawaii to visit my friend Clay Ozaki-Train.

The morning after my arrival, Clay and I sat in his living room listening to the birds chirping outside and looking out over Maunalani Heights down towards Diamond Head. Clay began playing his guitar. I joined him on my trumpet and we recorded this peaceful improvisation on my iPad.

Here’s the view that we enjoyed: http://imgur.com/KEdEU

Dinle ve oku da ilham al, herifin oğlu nasıl yaşıyor aaah ahhh! Bugün de masa başında geçti anam babam…

My boyfriend has invaded my tumblr with his music.

These men are window washers at a children’s hospital in Pittsburg. Some might think the job is menial, but to the kids who are horribly ill, looking out their window seeing their favorite superhero at their window makes all the pain go away for a bit. And that would make the job worthwhile.

it’s things like this that give me high expectations for my working life
